Marion Gross

Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Management, McDonald's USA

Marion Gross serves as Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Management, North America and U.S. Sustainability. In this position she is responsible for executing the strategic direction of McDonald’s Supply Chain organization including oversight of more than $11 billion in food and beverage, packaging, premiums and distribution for more than 15,000 restaurants across the U.S. and Canada. Her primary supply chain focus areas are talent management and performance, leadership development, quality and food safety, new product commercialization, core category strategic sourcing and cost management, field team execution and supplier diversity. In addition she leads the advancement of sustainability efforts for McDonald’s USA.
Prior to this position, Marion was the Vice President, U.S. Field and Supply Chain Services for McDonald’s USA where she was accountable for the execution of strategic supply chain initiatives through a network of 36 distribution centers. Marion also managed McDonald’s Supplier Diversity Program and was accountable for coordinating food, packaging and premium expenditures of more than $5.2 billion annually.
Marion began her career with the McDonald’s system in 1986 as a HAVI employee where she managed transportation, logistics and packaging procurement. She joined McDonald’s in 1993, managing a number of national product categories including dairy, potatoes, bakery, uniforms, eggs, consumer packaging, Happy Meal® toys and promotional products as well as new products.
Marion is the recipient of several professional awards. She is a graduate of the “Leadership at McDonald’s” program geared to accelerate the development of high potential leaders and is a Leadership Greater Chicago fellow, class of 2012. She was honored by the McDonald’s Woman’s Leadership Network with a leadership award and received the Supply Leadership Board of Excellence Award. Recently Marion was recognized by the National Diversity Council for being one of Illinois’ 2012 Most Powerful and Influential Women. Marion earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Transportation and Physical Distribution from Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL.
Marion is a member of the McDonald’s African American employee network and actively mentors future leaders. Outside of McDonald’s, she gives back to the community as a member of the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago and by providing support and resources to charitable organizations like Ronald McDonald House Charities, Hesed House, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and others.
She and her husband, Brian, reside in the Chicago area.
